Flow Rate Calculator

The client had created a flow rate calculator and wanted copy for the page, along with SEO optimization to boost its ranks on Google.

Originally I had no idea what flow rate was or how this calculator worked. After some research, I created the copy for this page, and alongside this, optimized it for the keyword “flow rate calculator” after finding that to be the ideal search term.

The Result:

This page quickly became number one for its target keyword and has since remained number one for the past few years. It’s also ranking highly for a large number of mid-tail and long-tail keywords not even being tracked.

On average it is used by 2,000 users daily, with traffic coming from all over the world. It is currently the webpage with the most traffic out of all the company websites.

It’s been used by engineers, students, plumbers, rocket scientists, and even some people on Reddit for the flow rate of a toilet (not really what it’s for, but I’ll take it).
